Great for a relative newbie (with a bit of research)

I've only had one vape prior to this, a butane-fueled one I was fond of and used for several years almost daily due to longterm illness. When it finally stopped working, it appeared to no longer be available. This was in my price range and had good reviews, so I took a chance. (I also liked the idea of not having to constantly buy butane and refill it!) This model is a bit finicky in terms of how to set it up and not very intuitive to me, but I looked up an in-depth set up video for it on YouTube that had me good to go in minutes. It's definitely heavier than my previous vape, so not as easy to carry with me, but I can deal with it. It's efficient and makes good use of the battery life. Doesn't take an obscene amount of time to recharge, and I like the adjustable heat levels. Overall, I'm happy!

Almost Perfect, but Not Quite

Everything would have been fine, and a 5 star review, if what I ordered in the US from a place in the US would have shipped me a device with a charger that was made to be used in the US. Instead, I got a charger for the UK! So, after getting no response from customer service, I went out and bought a universal travel adapter set so the I could use it. Works great!

Nice draw and good flavor

Though this "portable" vaporizer is a bit bulky to fit in my pocket, it makes a great compliment to my trusty Arizer Extreme Q. Once I got the hang of loading the glass mouthpiece, it produces a good cloud of vapor that tastes great. Battery life is much better than my old Crafty, and this unit seems much more durable, too.

FAQs

How do I use the Arizer Solo?

The Solo is simple to use. We definitely recommend viewing the User Guide tab on the left for full instructions from Arizer, but it’s just this easy: After the Solo is preheated, load the glass chamber on the end of the glass wand, load the glass wand into the Solo, and take a smooth draw. What could be easier?

What is the best grind level for blends in the Solo?

The optimum grind for the Solo is a consistent, medium grind. Finer grinds might travel through the stem holes, and chunkier pieces have a difficult time vaporizing efficiently.

How long does it take for the Solo to preheat?

Two (2) minutes should be sufficient.

Do I need to set the temperature every time I turn the Solo on?

Yes. Each time you turn the Solo on, you’ll choose what temperature level (1-7) you would like.

What determines vapor quality in the Solo?

The Solo is a very consistent vaporizer, with even heating and steady airflow. The only real factor in determining vapor quality is the consistency and size of your ground blend. Vary the grind level to see how it effects vapor production.

Is the Solo compatible with liquids and concentrates?

The Solo was designed for use with aromatic blends only.

What model of the Arizer Solo do you carry?

None! The Solo does not require screens! There are four holes in the mouthpiece, that act as the screen.

Do you carry the Solo's wooden mouthpiece?

No, we do not carry the wooden stem, but we do carry extra glass stems.

Does the Solo come fully charged?

It does come charged but it is better to fully charge it after the first use.

How long does it take to charge the Solo?

About 4 hours to charge from almost fully depleted. ** Note: It is best for Lithium Ion batteries to NOT be fully discharged, always charge your Solo before running the battery all the way down.

How long does the battery last under normal use in the Solo?

Battery will last for anywhere in between 3-4 hours, about 10-15 sessions. Avoid storing the Solo or its batteries in cold or freezing areas; this will cause accelerated battery depletion. If you are headed into colder climates and are bringing the Solo along, Keep it in warm area, such as inside your warmest layers. Body heat is a perfect shield against the cold.

Can I use the Solo while it is charging?

Definitely the glass stems, but check the crucible periodically.

What is replaceable on my Solo?

The Solo is pretty indestructible, but if you happen to break the glass stems, we have replacements available.
