Looking to elevate your experience? Here is our list of the best concentrate rigs of 2018.

Higher Standards Heavy Duty Rig - $180.00

Stay High.

  • Premium Design
  • Handcrafted in the USA
  • Compressed Airpath
  • Deep, Drag-Free Chugging
  • Extra Thick Build
  • Medical-Grade Borosilicate
  • 100% Quartz Banger
  • Collector's Storage Box with Tools

The Heavy Duty Rig is a sophisticated beast. Featuring thick medical-grade glass, clean joint welds and a sleek refashioning of the classic percolator style, this rig has the look and feel of a premium piece. Sure enough, it produces powerful vapor, the product of a 100% pure quartz nail and compressed air path that delivers hits directly to the lungs before they wane in strength.

Simply put, the Heavy Duty Rig is built to chug. The sealed airway, complete with tight passages and a compressed chamber, creates a drag-free experience that is perfect for concentrates. To promote better moisture-conditioning, a diffused stem features slits cut just the right size to create finer than average bubbles. You'll know after the first draw, this rig delivers flavor-rich vapor with a strong head change and smooth profile.

With an ergonomic design, the Heavy Duty Rig is tailored for straight-forward sessions that are free of pretension. A flared mouthpiece creates an airtight seal against your lips for fuller draws. For added grip, a dimple at the top of the percolator gives your index finger a comfy place to rest while you're ripping. When the rig's resting, a thick flat base keeps it secure. The overall experience is comfortable and functional.

(Higher Standards Supreme Clean Kit maintains the Heavy Duty Rig's crystal clear appearance.)

In a nutshell, the Heavy Duty Rig delivers on its promise of setting a higher standard. And it looks good doing it. The glasswork is clean with a crystalline look that can be maintained using the Higher Standards Supreme Clean Kit. We specifically recommend a combination of their ISO Pure 99% isopropyl alcohol and Salt Rox, a premium rock salt for breaking down tougher residue.

You'll notice Higher Standards puts painstaking detail into their products, including the premium accessories that come stored snugly in the rig's sleek and foamy collector's box. A triangular wax container features four compartments so you can keep your different waxes separate. And the two included tools are made of premium metal with silicone grips and removable caps. They really went the extra mile to give their products and accessories quality that's usually reserved for limited-edition items.

Curated for connoisseurs, the Heavy Duty Rig Kit delivers the highest of highs at a level of sophistication rarely seen in concentrate rigs.

MJ Arsenal Hydra Mini Rig - $39.99

Pocketable. Powerful.

  • Miniature Size
  • Spill-Proof Design
  • Triple-Hole Percolator
  • High-Grade Borosilicate
  • Klien Recycler
  • Quartz Banger

The Hydra by MJ Arsenal is a miniature concentrate rig with surprisingly big rips. The snakey design sends smoke on a wet and wild ride, which looks cool AND smooths hits out significantly.

I was impressed (and a little taken aback) by the direct hit to the lungs. I can safely say this little guy packs a big punch.

The big question is, where does the vapor quality come from?

Two places: The 100% quartz nail that extracts intense flavor and effects. And the Klein recycler that delivers hits to the lungs super fast before they have time to lose potency.

This is a beautifully designed little concentrate rig with big personality and performance.

Eyce Sidecar - $74.99

  • Platinum-Cured Silicone
  • Durable and Functional
  • Honeycomb Diffuser
  • 14mm Pure Quartz Crystal
  • Travel-Friendly
  • Four Integrated Tool Slots
  • Lifetime Warranty

Has someone finally made the only concentrate rig you'll ever need? It's certainly a possibility with the Eyce Sidecar, a piece that combines the lung-busting vapor production of glass pipes with the rough-and-ready toughness of silicone. Lightweight and practically unbreakable, it'll take a lickin' and keep on tickin'. Equipped with a 14mm quartz nail, it extracts immense clouds of flavorful vapor, which it then moisturizes and filters using a classic honeycomb diffuser. Travel-ready with excellent vapor quality, there's little left to desire from the Sidecar.

Dr. Dabber Switch - $319.99

Ceramic induction for herb or wax.

  • 25 Temperature Settings
  • Dual Herb and Wax Compatible
  • Ceramic Induction Heating
  • 150 Uses Per Full Charge
  • Pass-Through Charging
  • Rapid Four Second Heating
  • Borosilicate Glass Bubbler

Dr. Dabber Switch is a concentrate rig with dry herb functionality. It handles both materials seamlessly with a ceramic induction heating system. This unique heating style extracts intense flavor with minimal combustion even at higher temperatures. While most electronic dab rigs only offer one or two settings, the Switch has 25. It gives you plenty of leeway for exploring different vapor profiles. Cordless, the Switch offers semi-portable dabbing, and the battery holds 150 uses per full charge. This is a connoisseur's electric dab rig. The vapor quality is amazing. And it handles both herb and wax with the same powerful precision.

MJ Arsenal Atlas Mini Rig - $49.00

The world in your hand.

  • Mini Design
  • Double Ball Chamber
  • Honeycomb Percolator
  • 100% Pure Quartz Nail
  • Spill-Proof
  • Ground Glass Connection

The Atlas is another tiny but mighty mini rig by MJ Arsenal. This little big guy gets its name from its double ball design, engineered to moisturize and cool hits while preventing water from entering the air path (and your mouth).

The chamber is a ball within a ball. Here's how it works…

Smoke travels from the nail through the inner ball then up through the honeycomb percolator into an outer ball that acts as a water chamber. The double ball design prevents splashing to keep water filtration clean and efficient.

Sure enough, the hits are quite comfortable and there's no spit back.

Even though the Atlas rig is small enough to fit in your pocket, the hits pack a punch. It's not that they're huge. They're just insanely direct, shooting straight to the lungs.

Here's where that power comes from...

The compressed airpath gives material no time to lose potency and flavor, so each hit is legitimately powerful.

Despite its small size, this is one of the best concentrate rigs I've tried. I can safely recommend it as an addition to your arsenal.

Hyer Big-E - $299.00

Drop the torch and get Hyer.

  • Converts Your Glass into a Torchless Rig
  • Precise Temperature (320F-852F)
  • Adjustable Clamp
  • Silicone Traction Grips
  • Compatible with 90% of Glass
  • 90-Second Heat Up
  • LED Function Indicator
  • Cordless and Portable

The Hyer Big-E converts almost any flat-base glass into a torchless concentrate rig. Pretty handy, since torches can be clunky, imprecise and a little dangerous. Now you get to choose a precise temperature up to 852F and dab in a semi-portable way without lugging around a torch. This is a one-of-a-kind device that makes dabbing way easier and safer. And the vapor production is top notch.

Featuring a 30W removable heating element made of high-grade ceramic, the Hyer Big-E is able to lock into an exact temperature and stay there throughout your session. Much more precise than torching. The pure quartz nail displays incredible vapor. Heat up takes about 90 seconds, not as fast as a torch but you're sacrificing one minute for precision temperature and much better vapor quality. Not a bad trade-off.

(A removable ceramic heating element fits right under the nail.)

You might be wondering how to hook up the Big-E to your glass pipe. It's really simple. First, you set your rig in the docking station and adjust the clamp so it's holding your glass tight. Attach whichever included nail works with your rig, whether it's male or female. Then plug the heating element into the cup beneath the nail. Now you're ready to rip.

Choosing a temperature is easy with a simple control interface featuring "+" and "-" buttons. You can hold either button down to jump temperatures by sets of ten degrees. Pressing the power button chooses your temperature. Wait 90 seconds and start. The Hyer Big-E will stabilize temperature throughout your session.

Using a heating element is way cleaner and more efficient than torching. For one thing, it doesn't leave as much tough residue in the nail after each session. In fact, you can run a burn off on the highest temp to get rid of any leftover buildup. You can also choose a temperature that is ideal for whatever flavor and potency level you're craving. Plus you don't have to carry a torch around just to take a rip. This unique device is light years ahead of torching, and we wouldn't be surprised if this becomes the new norm.

A few secret features enhance the concentrate experience. A silicone wax container is secreted away on the side of the device so you can keep your concentrates and kit all in the same place. You can also charge your smartphone directly from the Big-E using the micro-USB port on the back.

Overall the Hyer Big-E makes sessions a hell of a lot more convenient, versatile and satisfying.

MJ Arsenal Royale Mini Rig - $49.00

Fit for a king or queen.

  • Fab-Egg Design
  • Miniature Size
  • 100% Borosilicate Glass
  • Pure Quartz Banger
  • Flared Mouthpiece

The Royale is a mini version of the Faberge Egg rig, which was introduced back in 2012. It's basically an egg within an egg, with smoke traveling through each layer before inhalation. This gives each hit more time to cool off.

Here's what makes Royale one of the best concentrate rigs...

The hits are incredibly concentrated. They're not huge. But they are loaded with flavor and effects. Like all of MJ Arsenal's mini rigs, the air path is very tight, so concentratea have zero time to diminish before you're inhaling them.

One downside is a narrow base. I feel the pipe might easily tip over when at rest. Besides that, the Royale rules.

Snoop Dogg POUNDS Battleship - $279.98

Triple-stacked percolators deliver out-of-this-world vapor.

  • Triple Honeycomb Turbine Percs
  • Flared Mouthpiece
  • Angled Neck
  • 14mm Ground Glass
  • Dual Herb/Wax Compatibility
  • <12.6" Height
  • Clean Look with Accents

Snoop Dogg designed this bong/rig hybrid for the maximum water filtration of dry herb or wax. Three honeycomb percolators are said to deliver triple the moisture-conditioning. Sure enough, the triple-stacked approach produces silky smooth rips.

The Battleship is designed for herb and wax, managing to do both well. The rig is larger than the optimal size of a concentrate rig, but the rips are still flavor-rich with a strong head change.

To use concentrates, simply swap out the herb bowl with the included quartz bucket, dome, and nail. The dome catches vapor so nothing is lost as you take a rip, while the bucket promotes better vaporization. Famous Brandz used pure quartz, which is more thermal-resistant than glass and promotes better vaporization. Expect milky rips that are loaded with flavor notes.

(The Battleship is ready for war with an arsenal of attachments.)

The Battleship is going for a funky intergalactic look with accents around the mouthpiece, joints, and nail (red, clear, black, or white). The design is not subtle, and in some places, it doesn't seem that solid either. The exposed downstem, long and skinny, looks pretty vulnerable. But overall the glasswork is sturdy. An extra thick base keeps things stable, while space between the downstem and chamber give your fingers a nice place to rest while gripping the glass.

The Famous Brandz Battleship is one of the best concentrate rigs thanks to its triple-stacked percolators. Triple the moisture! The thick glass feels nice and solid for the most part. And it handles both herb and wax well, making it the best concentrate rig for those who don't want to switch between two different pipes.

MJ Arsenal Jammer Mini Rig - $49.00

Jam on.

  • Mini Design
  • Reinforced Base-Connected Percolator
  • Pure Borosilicate
  • 100% Quartz Banger
  • Ground Glass Connection
  • Flared Mouthpiece
  • Smooth Hits

MJ Arsenal's mini rigs get pretty wild but the Jammer keeps it simple.

It has a barrel-shaped water chamber with a percolator at the very bottom. Smoke bubbles are forced to rise from the bottom of the water chamber, growing smoother and cleaner on their way to the top.

Like all MJA rigs, the Jammer features a pure quartz banger that vaporizes concentrates at lower temperatures. The flavor is pretty amazing for a tiny little rig.

The downside to these mini rigs is smaller hits. But they are super potent. The shorter, tighter airpath blasts them directly to the lungs while they're at their most potent and flavorful.

This is one of the best concentrate rigs in the MJ Arsenal lineup if you want a simple design and powerful sessions.

Snoop Dogg POUNDS Spaceship - $219.98

An inline ruffle percolator delivers smooth rips.

  • Quartz Nail, Dome, and Bucket
  • Inline Ruffle Percolator
  • Strong Diffusion
  • Low Draw Resistance
  • Compact 6" Height
  • Curved Neck
  • Colored Accents
  • Intergalactic Look
  • Borosilicate Glass

This small concentrate rig from Famous Brandz is geared for flavorful, potent draws. A compact 6" build makes it semi-portable with a tight airpath that's perfect for waxes. Thanks to the compressed vapor path, the Spaceship delivers powerful rips even better than larger rigs like its sister pipe the Battleship.

Crafted from medical-grade borosilicate, the Spaceship feels nice and solid with a thick build. The design is unique with a launchpad base and nozzled mouthpiece. The neck curves toward your lips to make it easier to rip. The rig actually looks like a spaceship, so there's an "out-of-this-world" vibe if you're into that. But it's also functional and easy to use.

(The Spaceship features a funky space-age design.)

Engineered for optimal moisture, the inline percolator is ruffled with gridded slits that diffuse smoke finely without sacrificing airflow. Sure enough, the rips are silky smooth, and the draw resistance is low for deeper chugs. The percolator doesn't overdo it, so the concentrates are cool but not too wet.

Equipped with a pure quartz nail, dome, and bucket, the Spaceship is one of the best concentrate rigs for flavor. The dome helps capture vapor as you're inhaling for fuller hits. The compact airpath, from nail to mouthpiece, lets you truly taste the many flavor notes found in concentrates.

MJ Arsenal Ursa Mini Rig - $49.00

Reach for the stars.

  • Miniature Size
  • Classic Rig Design
  • Discus Perc
  • Pure Borosilicate
  • 100% Quartz Banger
  • Flared Mouthpiece

Ursa Mini is the most traditional of the MJ Arsenal rigs. It's a mini version of the classic rig design with a few subtle differences. The hits are smaller than those of a big rig, but super concentrated.

I noticed the rips were slightly smoother than the rest of the MJA lineup. That's because Ursa Mini has a relatively larger water chamber with a discus percolator that creates very fine bubbles. That makes the hits nice and smooth.

MJA made a few updates to the classic design that they're paying homage to here...

First, the air path between the banger and the perc is built outside the chamber rather than inside. It winds around the rig, which gives it a little more length. Smoke has more time to cool off.

Second, the mouthpiece is nice and flared. I like to think that helps create a seal between the mouthpiece and your lips for stronger suction. The mouthpiece also has a blown out air path at its base, creating a mini tornado that allows the hit to cool off.

This little rig is solid and reliable. The rips catch you off guard, proving that big things can come in small packages.

Atomic Bianca Dab Rig - $29.99

Mini but mighty.

  • 5" Height
  • Beaker Design
  • Downstem Diffuser
  • Glass Nail
  • Borosilicate Glass
  • Atomic Decal w/Black Accents

Atomic Bianca is one of the best concentrate rigs under $30. It's also one of the smallest rigs at around 5" high. Despite its small size, this thing delivers. Crafted from high-grade borosilicate, it offers good vapor production without sacrificing portability. It's not exactly a primary rig. More like a travel companion or party piece.

Don't let the small size fool you. Expect small but flavor-rich vapor with a smooth profile. An all-glass nail produces flavorful rips with a nice head change. A wide beaker-style water chamber churns up comfortable draws. A straight neck gives hits more time to cool off.

The reason why the vapor is flavorful and potent is the compressed vapor path. The chamber and pathways are compact, which is perfect for vaporizing concentrates. The tight airpath delivers hits before they become stale. The result is a powerful and tasty draw that you wouldn't expect from a concentrate rig that only costs $30.

If you're looking for a simple, palm-friendly, and reliable piece that's affordable, this is the best concentrate rig of its size and price range. It's not going to deliver the biggest rips by any means, but for its small stature, it gets the job done.

Merlin Recycler Mini-Rig - $39.99

The little concentrate rig that could.

  • Custom-Made Quartz Banger
  • Recycler Water Filtration System
  • Doubles as Joint Bubbler
  • Uber-Compact
  • Borosilicate Glass

The Merlin Recycler by MJ Arsenal is a small concentrate rig with a magical side. It has dual functionality, doubling as a mini-rig and joint bubbler. And its recycler system keeps water constantly moving as you pull, causing a nice whirlpool effect. The hits are smooth and full-bodied for such a palm-friendly pipe.

This recycler is likely the best concentrate rig of its size. This little guy is seriously compact. You can pass it around or carry it in a protective bag without feeling like you're lugging something around. It's a worthy addition to your stash set if you ever find yourself needing a small dab rig.

The banger is pure quartz, pulling a wider range of flavor notes from your waxes. It's custom-made with a curved stem that tilts the nail slightly toward you for easier draws. A silicone banger clip holds everything in place.

As you're ripping with the Merlin, you'll need to hold the carb so water flows continuously through the recycler. Included is a silicone carb-cap to streamline that for you.

Overall, this mini-rig is reliable and easy-to-use. Its vapor production is pretty dense for a small concentrate rig. And its versatility accommodates those who flitter from wax to flower. If you're in the mood for a dry herb session, insert a rolled blunt into the female joint and light it up as you inhale.

Jade East - $74.99

An exotic trip.

  • 7.25" Height
  • 14mm Ground Glass
  • Glass Nail
  • Airtight Design
  • Showerhead Downstem
  • Borosilicate Glass
  • Straight Tube
  • Flared Mouthpiece
  • Female Glass Dome
  • Wide Water Chamber

The Jade East is a classy little concentrate rig from the Famous Brandz Cheech and Chong lineup. The design follows a beaker-style with a wider water chamber and narrow straight tube with a flared mouthpiece. The rig is compact, so you get the flavor and potency of a compressed air path while still enjoying plenty of water filtration from the beaker chamber.

Equipped with a well-designed vapor path, the Jade East is capable of producing impressively flavorful, powerful rips. The airtight design ensures a lower draw-resistance so vapor is shot directly to your lungs before it can lose its strength. Compact concentrate rigs are better at vaporizing concentrate for this reason, and Jade East is one of the best for the job. It stands at 7.25", a travel-friendly size.

(A showerhead downstem produces fine bubbles.)

Expect smooth hits, the product of a showerhead downstem. It features two shower heads with small air holes that diffuse smoke into the water, creating finer bubbles that attach to moisture. The water filtration is nice and thorough. We recommend filling about half the water chamber, with the water line just above the diffuser.

Jade East comes with a glass nail as well as a glass dome that stops vapor from escaping as you draw so the hits are more full-bodied.

GRAV Circuit Rig - $79.99

A whirlpool water jet sends smoke on a wet and wild ride.

  • 14mm Female Domeless Quartz Nail
  • Water Jet Percolator
  • Continuous Water Filtration During Rips
  • Splash Guard
  • Flared Mouthpiece
  • High-Grade Glass
  • Curved Elbow Neck
  • Travel-Friendly Size
  • Double Bubbler Chambers

A turbine percolator makes the Circuit Rig by GRAV Labs one of the best concentrate rigs for the water filtration of concentrates. Chugging creates a little whirlpool that keeps spinning until you stop hitting. Smoke gets thoroughly moisture-conditioned in the process. The water filtration is up there with larger dab rigs even though the Circuit Rig is only 7" tall.

Normally with smaller concentrate rigs like this, you can't really take hard pulls without splashing yourself. But the Circuit Rigs vortex system acts as a splash protector. You can really chug without splashing, so the rips can get quite large and lung-expanding.

(Circuit Rig is palm-friendly and powerful.)

The ability to take a deep and fast draw also ensures that vapor travels directly to your lungs, which is the best strategy with wax concentrates since they can wane in potency and flavor the longer the vapor takes to be inhaled. The air path from the ground glass connection to the flared mouthpiece is fairly airtight, allowing you to really chug.

Overall, the vapor production from the Circuit Rig is extremely smooth. There's also some great flavor to be had thanks to the quartz nail. If you're looking for the best concentrate rig for comfortable rips that's not too big, the Circuit Rig is a great option.

Anthony Dab Rig - $74.99

A fitting tribute to a classic character.

  • All-Glass Nail
  • Female Dome
  • Showerhead Percolator
  • 9" Height
  • Original Artwork w/Black accents
  • Thick Base
  • Flared Mouthpiece

The Anthony is part of the Famous Brandz Cheech and Chong lineup. Named after Anthony Stoner, Tommy Chong's character, it lives up to the mythology with a heady design, potent vapor, and full-fledged showerhead percolator.

The Cheech and Chong thing could have gone in a corny direction. But the artwork is fairly classy. A slick silhouette of the dynamic duo's bus is complemented by bold accents in black, light blue or red found in the base, mouthpiece, and vapor dome. In short, the Anthony is more sophisticated than you'd imagine when you think of Cheech and Chong.

(The Anthony concentrate rig features a showerhead percolator.)

The body is hand-blown from borosilicate glass. The glass is thick, especially the flat base. The design is solid with a bent mouthpiece for easier hits and a large chamber for thorough moisture-conditioning. The showerhead comes through with some very milky vapor. With an all-glass nail, there's no shortage of flavor.

At 9" high, the Anthony is a little larger than the average concentrate rig. But the design is tight, promoting lower draw resistance for full-flavored, lung-expanding dabs.

What Do Concentrate Rigs Offer?

(The Higher Standards Heavy Duty Rig features an airtight seal for deep chugs.)

Concentrate rigs offer smooth, highly potent rips from concentrates. Designed specifically for wax and oils, these glass water pipes utilize water filtration to tame the powerful rips produced by dabbing.

Using a concentrate rig is fairly simple. The user heats the nail, an attachment that directly vaporizes concentrates, using a torch. A bit of concentrate is then dabbed onto the hot surface of the nail as the user inhales. The smoke is pulled through a water filtration system that transforms it into moisturized, purified vapor. The hits contain fewer particulates and drop to a cooler temperature, making them more comfortable to take in.

Because concentrate rigs require torching, they're not for everyone--especially those who don't like fire. The alternative is an enail, which is in some sense an electronic version of a dab rig. These devices feature temperature control and don't require a torch. They do, however, sometimes require plugin power sources. Dab rigs, on the other hand, are semi-portable, allowing you to dab without a plug-in.

What is a Concentrate Nail?

(A quartz banger nail, one of many concentrate nails available.)

Every concentrate rig features a nail upon which concentrates are heated. This part is essential to the dabbing experience. Nails can come in a variety of styles including:

Standard - One of the most budget-friendly concentrate nails. They feature a cupped plate onto which concentrates are dabbed. After the nail is heated and introduced to concentrates, the user places a dome over the nail to capture the vapor so it doesn't fade away before it's inhaled.

Angled - These concentrate nails feature a cup cut at an angle for easier dabbing.

Daisy - Featuring a bowl with slits cut into it, daisy nails allow you to rip without a dome. The slits promote ample airflow that pulls vapor directly into the air path rather than letting it dissipate.

Banger - With an elbow design that curves away from the concentrate rig, bangers provide easy access to the nail and ensure that heat from your torch doesn't damage your rig over time.

What are Concentrate Nails Made Of?

Nails can also come in a number of different materials. Each material offers a different way to enjoy concentrates, delivering different levels of flavor, potency, density, and more. The most common materials used to make concentrate nails are:

Glass - Many of the best concentrate rigs feature glass nails. This material is more fragile than others, making it prone to cracking and breakage. Still, glass does a fairly good job of extracting flavor and potency.

Quartz - This type of concentrate nail is far more durable than glass. It won't crack as easily, nor will it burn your wax if heated properly. Quartz pulls excellent flavor from waxes. It also ensures smoother hits. Some of the best dab rigs feature quartz nails.

Ceramic - Considered an alternative to quartz, ceramic concentrate nails do not react chemically to heat. This ensures that no unwanted flavors or aromas are rubbed off on your vapor. Ceramic also has high heat retention, so you can enjoy multiple dabs from one heated nail without reheating it each time. These dab nails are less durable than titanium or quartz but deliver intense flavor.

Titanium - The most durable and expensive concentrate nails are titanium. This material is less likely to develop stress cracks over time. The downside is that it will burn your wax if heated improperly. Titanium nails heat very fast so there won't be a long wait to dab.

What Makes the Best Concentrate Rigs Great?

The best concentrate rigs simply vaporize concentrates better than the rest. Period. You can boil this down to four factors:

Airpath - The airpath needs to be optimal for concentrates. That means the chamber, neck, and pathways should be tight. The more condensed the air path is, the lower the draw resistance, and the better your draws will taste and feel. In general, small concentrate rigs have the best air paths for concentrates. But there are exceptions to every rule. You want to make sure whatever rig you buy has drag-free airflow, no matter what size it is.

Glass - Remember you're going to be torching the nail at very high temperatures. You want a rig made of glass that's durable enough to handle that high heat. It will be able to retain the quality of your vapor without rubbing off any unwanted tastes or odors. And it won't crack or break over time. Borosilicate is the go-to glass for concentrate connoisseurs. It's medical-grade and highly thermal-resistant, meaning it won't change chemically when subjected to heat.

Nail - One of the most essential components is in the nail. The design of your nail will reflect in the flavor, strength, and smoothness of your vapor. This will usually come down to the materials used and the style of the nail, whether it be standard, classic, daisy, angled, or more.

Percolator - A significant aspect of using a concentrate rig is water filtration. This moisturizes and cools off vapor so it's easier to inhale. The percolator of a dab rig is largely responsible for how thoroughly your hits are moisture-conditioned. Percolators come in a variety of styles. In general, you want a percolator with small slits that produce finer bubbles. This will help smoke attach more thoroughly to moisture.

What Size Concentrate Rig Should I Get?

(Smaller concentrate rigs feature tighter airways that deliver powerful dabs.)

When it comes to choosing the best concentrate rigs, size matters. Small concentrate rigs have tighter passages and chambers, forming a more direct, drag-free pathway for vapor to travel down. This straight blast to the lungs ensures that vapor has little time to dissipate. Instead, a dense, powerful rip is delivered.

A smaller chamber is also conducive to potent, flavor-rich draws. Vapor will attach to moisture for a smoother hit, but the flavor won't get diluted by too much water filtration.

In general, concentrate rigs range between 6" and 9" with chambers sized perfectly for concentrates. That said, larger dab rigs exist, sometimes featuring a purposefully compressed chamber to deliver better dabs despite their bigger sizes.
