How do I use the Solo?
The Solo is simple to use. We definitely recommend viewing the User Guide tab on the left for full instructions from Arizer, but it’s just this easy: After the Solo is preheated, load the glass chamber on the end of the glass wand, load the glass wand into the Solo, and take a smooth draw. What could be easier?
What is the best grind level for blends in the Solo?
The optimum grind for the Solo is a consistent, medium grind. Finer grinds might travel through the stem holes, and chunkier pieces have a difficult time vaporizing efficiently.
How long does it take for the Solo to preheat?
Two (2) minutes should be sufficient.
Do I need to set the temperature every time I turn the Solo on?
Yes. Each time you turn the Solo on, you’ll choose what temperature level (1-7) you would like.
What determines vapor quality in the Solo?
The Solo is a very consistent vaporizer, with even heating and steady airflow. The only real factor in determining vapor quality is the consistency and size of your ground blend. Vary the grind level to see how it effects vapor production.
Is the Solo compatible with liquids and concentrates?
The Solo was designed for use with aromatic blends only.
What model of Solo do you carry?
Our inventory is always up-to-date; we carry the most current models. Currently that model is the unit with passthrough technology.
When I purchase the Solo, will it come with the bent or straight mouthpiece?
The Solo comes with 1 straight mp, 1 bent mp and a small potpourri dish.
What type of heating chamber does the Solo use?
The Solo utilizes a ceramic heating element and a stainless steel heating crucible.
How full should the heating chamber be?
The heating chamber in the stem should be full, but not loaded tightly.
It says the Solo has a ceramic heating element, why do I see metal!?
The unit actually does have a ceramic heating element. In the older models, you can see the ceramic. But in the newer models feature a stainless steel heater cover/crucible, to protect the heating element from chipping or cracking.
Is any aluminum in contact with the heating element?
No, the Solo Vaporizer features an isolated stainless steel heating element that does not come into contact with any aluminum.
Is the Solo mouthpiece supposed to fit loosely?
The new Solo mouthpieces are supposed to fit more loosely then the old ones. However, all new So
los will encounter some resistance when trying to insert the mouthpiece. You must set the Solo to 7 for 1-2 12 minute periods, to break in the devices gasket.
How many screens come with the Solo?
None! The Solo does not require screens! There are four holes in the mouthpiece, that act as the screen.
Do you carry the Solo's wooden mouthpiece?
No, we do not carry the wooden stem, but we do carry extra glass stems.
Does the Solo come fully charged?
It does come charged but it is better to fully charge it after the first use.
How long does it take to charge the Solo?
About 4 hours to charge from almost fully depleted.
** Note: It is best for Lithium Ion batteries to NOT be fully discharged, always charge your Solo before running the battery all the way down.
How long does the battery last under normal use in the Solo?
Battery will last for anywhere in between 3-4 hours, about 10-15 sessions.
Avoid storing the Solo or its batteries in cold or freezing areas; this will cause accelerated battery depletion. If you are headed into colder climates and are bringing the Solo along, Keep it in warm area, such as inside your warmest layers. Body heat is a perfect shield against the cold.
Can I use the Solo while it is charging?
Possibly. If you have a new 2014 Solo with passthrough, and also the optional Power Adapter.
The AC adapter that came with the the Solo charges the battery, but does not permit passthrough.
The Power Adapter allows passthough, but does not charge the battery.
Is there a battery level indicator?
When you turn the Solo on, you are given a reading of the current battery level via the LED’s on the front.
Is there an auto shutoff on the Solo?
The Solo will turn itself off after 12 minutes of inactivity.
As a general safety rule, do not leave the Solo unattended while powered on.
How do you know when the unit is fully charged?
When you turn on the Solo by simultaneously pressing both buttons, the LED’s will illuminate to indicate the level of battery power, measured from 1 light (nearly depleted) to 7 lights (fully charged).
Is the battery replaceable?

Is there a plug in accessory so I can use it without using up the battery?
If you have a newer Solo model that allows passthrough, we carry the Solo Power Adapter that allows you to use the Solo even when the battery is depleted.
Note that the Solo Power Adapter that allows for passthrough will not charge the battery. It will only allow operation.
What is the temperature range of the Solo?
The Solo heats up in under 2 1/2 minutes and utilizes 7 different levels of preset temperatures.
Temperature Presets & Average Warm-Up Times:
Level 1: 50°C / 122°F (15 sec)
Level 2: 185°C / 365°F (1 min)
Level 3: 190°C / 374°F (1 min 10)
Level 4: 195°C / 383°F (1 min 30 sec)
Level 5: 200°C / 393°F (1 min 50 sec)
Level 6: 205°C / 401°F (2 min 10 sec)
Level 7: 210°C / 410°F (2 min 30 sec)
How do I return to my last used temperature when I first turn it on?
To return to your last used temperature, press and hold the down arrow for about 3 seconds after you turn it on while it is still in idle mode.
How long does a chamber last in the Solo? Can I use the same load throughout the day?
The Solo gives you control over how lengthy your sessions will be with its 7 different temperature levels. The lower temperatures will make your material last longer, enabling you to reuse the same load throughout the day. If you are ever in a hurry, the higher temperature settings enable you to vaporize the load in one quick session.
Does the Solo work with concentrates?
Though some people have reported use of concentrates with the Solo, it is not geared towards them. It is not recommended to use the Solo for anything other than aromatic blends.
Does the Solo vaporizer get hot as you hold it?
No, the outer shell of the Solo does not get hot when you hold it.
However, please keep in mind that the ceramic heating element and mouthpiece do get hot after extensive use, make sure to use caution while replacing your blend.
Is the cover high-temp silicone? Looks like the cover would melt into the heater if it wasn't opened before heating.
The cover on the Solo Vaporizer keep any debris from falling into the heating chamber when not in use, or during transit. While the cover is made from a heat resistant material, you do want to remove it as soon as you turn on the Solo so that you can insert your Solo Vaporizer Curved Mouthpiece or Solo Vaporizer Straight Mouthpiece and begin the Vaporization process.
Does the Solo come with a case?
It does not come with a case but their are two different type of cases available.
How well dos the Solo work in the cold?
Cold and freezing weather will cause batteries to deplete faster than normal, if you plan on being out and about in the cold, keep your Solo close to your body to keep its temperature normal.
How do you turn the beeping off on the Solo?
To silence the beeping, once you turn the Solo on and it is in idle mode, hold the left button (^) for a few seconds. This will turn the beeping off when you turn the Solo on and off.
How do you clean the Solo?
Always unplug the vaporizer from the electrical outlet and allow to cool COMPLETELY before cleaning, 30 minutes should be sufficient.
Always make sure your vaporizer is COMPLETELY dry before plugging it back in.
Do not attempt any internal or external repairs to your unit as doing so may cause fatal injury – or worse – void your warranty! (Please contact us if you feel something is wrong with your vaporizer.)
The aluminum will not need to be cleaned often but can be cleaned with a damp cloth and the glass parts are cleaned by soaking in rubbing alcohol or glass cleaner over night.

How often should I clean my Solo?
Your glass stem will be collecting the most buildup, so clean it as needed with isopropyl alcohol. Check the crucible periodically for debris and use a cotton swab to clean as needed. Do not put any liquids inside the heating crucible.
Is it okay to use isopropyl alcohol on my Solo?
Its perfect for cleaning your glass stems, but we don’t recommend it on other parts of the Solo. A damp warm cloth should be sufficient to the non-glass parts.
What parts of the Solo will I need to clean the most?
Definitely the glass stems, but check the crucible periodically.
What is replaceable on my Solo?
The Solo is pretty indestructible, but if you happen to break the glass stems, we have replacements available.
What kind of cleaning tools work best with the Solo?
For the glass stems, isopropyl alcohol and chenille sticks work best. For the main body, a lightly damp cloth will be sufficient.

The Solo features a two year manufacturer’s warranty, restricted to normal use. Due to quality craftsmanship, the Solo’s Heating Element is backed by a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty.
Why does it matter that vapor.com is an authorized retailer?

This also means that you have a unique serial numbered unit that assures your service guarantee. Purchase from an unauthorized distributor and you may not get the same support.
