I had a minor problem and they dressed it immediately.
I resisted buying a Volcano for the longest time because I thought it was just too expensive for what it did. What I did not realize then was that it does it's job exceptionally well. I dabbed for many years and had resigned myself to all of the cleaning and mess that abound when you dab with a recycler rig and all the stuff. When I decided to swear off concentrates and go for just cooking the **** to get the vapor out of it, I tried to go cheap with another company's dry herb vaporizer. It worked well enough, but it wasn't great and it still involved a lot of glassware to do it right. Finally, I bought the Volcano and was instantly surprised by just how easy it was to use, and how quickly and easily it cleans up. The filling chamber works best with finely ground herb lightly packed, but it isn't terribly finicky either; fine herb lightly packed is best, but it also has done well with whatever I've thrown at it. The quality and amount of vapor are excellent and infinitely adjustable with the temperature control. For example, I just cooked some J1 herb at 180 C and the vapor was so thick and dense that I couldn't inhale it without "coughing up a lung". I dropped the temperature to 160 C , and it did just fine. As the quantity of vapor declined, I raised the temp, first to 170 C , and finally to 180 C which is my temp of choice. When the amount of vapor dwindled down to nothing, it was all done. In the process, though, I got 6 or 7 bags out of that load so that makes it a lot more economical that it might seem. I should also note that the rig also works just fine with a whip. I've enjoyed an evening using the whip instead of bags and liked using it just as well. I have no complaints whatever about this product. I have noticed, though, that some have complained about the filling chamber refusing to separate after a few uses. I had this problem, too, and it's easy to solve. What is happening is that the upper and lower mating surfaces of the filling chamber seem to be bonding together. I found that using a light tap with the plastic handle on a screwdriver will separate them. Those edges are very precisely made so that the filling chamber is tightly closed by the tightening the upper and lower chambers together. The problem happens if a little of the **** is tightened between those mating surfaces because the sticky resin in the herb cooks out and 'glues' the two together. Keeping any herb off of those two surfaces will prevent it from occurring so a little bit of care when placing and packing the dry herb in the chamber will prevent this from happening. I've also applied a very, very light oil to the surface of the edges as a preventive measure, and that has helped too. (Rub your index finger along where your cheek meets the side of your nose, and then rub your finger along the mating surfaces; that's all you need.) I've never had a recurrence. Storz & Bickel have hit "one out of the park" with the Volcano Hybrid. Spend the money; you won't regret it.
great price and service arrived quickly. excellent
My new Volcano arrived, but after a few uses, the filling chamber would no longer separate. I contacted vapor.com, and after a few pictures and email exchanges, vapor ordered and sent a new filling chamber free of charge. YAY! Everything works perfectly now!
Didn’t have the coating so I have to hit up the manufacturer and this was a replacement for the one that came with the volcano I bought that had a defect
